Video guide gives a look inside
Posted: August 30th, 2009 | Author: Rekha from Public Radio Player | Filed under: Public Radio Player | 5 Comments »There are many reasons to watch our brief video demo. Maybe you’ve been using the Public Radio Player but have a nagging feeling there are more features you’re not using. Maybe you have an iPhone or iPod Touch and are deciding whether the Player is for you (though frankly, it’s free, so we say give it a go). Or maybe you don’t have an iPhone or iPod but want to know what the hype’s all about.
All good reasons. So here it is. (Re-posted on YouTube to be viewable on iPhones and iPods, too.)
Public Radio Player

Couldn’t watch this video in my iPhone. That’s ironic. Is it in Flash?
Great catch, Trevor. I’ve re-posted via YouTube, which is iPhone and iPod-friendly.
I am almost positive that this is more of an Apple concern than it is yours, but I am bothered that my messages/calls cut off my on-demand shows mid- listen. I understand that none of the apps can run in the ‘background,’ but it would be really cool if you guys could make it possible to save the point where the show gets cut off, so when we (listeners) navigate back to it, we can pick up where we left off.
The Public Radio player is marvelous. How about creating a version for the Mac and PC?
@Stacy: Good idea. We are looking into it.
@Steve: Thanks for the props. We have talked seriously about a Web-based and/or desktop version of the Public Radio Player. We don’t have the funding or resources to do this right now, but do know it’s on our wish list.
